Clinical Director, Registered Occupational Therapist
Robyn Duregger is the Clinical Director, Registered Occupational Therapist, and a well known and respected Sunshine Coast OT. Robyn graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne over 20 years ago, and has primarily worked with children since graduation.
Robyn spent 5 years working in schools, private and public clinics in the United States in the mid to late 90’s, embracing many post-graduate training opportunities, including becoming certified to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests. (SIPT)
On her return to Australia, Robyn commenced her paediatric private practice in Northern Sydney and the Central Coast of NSW, in addition to providing clinical supervision to OT’s employed by Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (NSW)
Robyn and her family moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2003, where she continued her private work with children in addition to part time employment in the Family and Early Childhood Team, (FECS) at Disability Services Maroochydore.
In 2012, she was awarded a ‘Practice Education Commendation’ from the University of Queensland and University of the Sunshine Coast, for excellence in Occupational Therapy student education.
In addition to running workshops and working directly with children, Robyn provides clinical support to other therapists at North Coast Therapy.
On a personal note, as the mother of three pre-teen boys (including twins!), Robyn brings practical life experience to her role.
Registered Occupational Therapist
Leanne Matthews is a Registered Occupational Therapist who specialises in working with children on the Sunshine Coast. Leanne graduated from Charles Sturt University in Victoria before relocating to Brisbane to work with the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland. Leanne’s role with the Cerebral Palsy League entailed provision of Occupational Therapy services to children aged 1 to 18 year.
Leanne has experience working with children who present with a range of physical and intellectual impairments. She works in close collaboration with parents, teachers and community agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for every child. Leanne’s experience includes assessment of fine motor, visual motor, sensory and cognitive skills, upper limb therapy and splinting, equipment trials and prescriptions (e.g. wheelchairs, hoists, vehicles and bathroom aids.)
Leanne is an approved provider under the 'Better Start for Children with a Disability' initiative. Leanne is now on the Sunshine Coast where she continues to provide assessment and therapy services to children, in her dual roles with Queensland Health and North Coast Therapy. Leanne is available for Saturday appointments.
